Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the 31st JP Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco. Union Square was a scene out of the Matrix with all the dark suits as healthcare industry executives, investors, and entrepreneurs gathered to discuss what lies ahead for healthcare in 2013.
I recently had the privilege of attending the nineteenth annual Phoenix Conference in Laguna Beach, California. I was joined by top level executives from large healthcare organizations and small venture-backed companies to discuss key strategic issues facing the medical device industry.
This past month T3 Advisors attended the CEO Day at this year’s Health Innovation Summit in San Francisco. The event was hosted by key sponsors Rock Health, Physic Ventures, FutureMed, Unilever and several others.
I recently had the pleasure of receiving a call from an economic development expert from the UK wishing to discuss if (in my opinion) London is perceived as a global biotech destination and also to ask what initiatives I’d seen or would think to be instrumental to building or strengthening a location as a life science hub. My contact’s objective was to create a letter to the Mayor of London that suggested – with the spotlight London expects from the hosting of the 2012 Summer Games – now would be the ideal time to implement a plan to develop a London submarket called “The Royal Docks” to attract a more diverse base of new technologies, life sciences being one of particular interest.
T3 Advisors continues to go beyond the building as our Life Sciences team was amongst 8,000 healthcare investors and CEOs at the 30th Annual JP Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco.
